Canadian Forces Artists Program (CFAP)

Type: Document

The need for Canada to record the actions of its military members was not forgotten. On June 6, 2001, Chief of Defence Staff, General Maurice Baril, officially announced the creation of the Canadian Forces Artists Program (CFAP). This program allowed volunteer artists to be transported, escorted, and provided food and accommodation while creating works that reflect on the participation of men and women of the Canadian Forces in a wide variety of activities at home and abroad.
